About the piece:  

The fishing village in Gibraltar is of Genoese descent and is very picturesque and much loved by the Caleteños (those native to the village).  I was given this commission by an interior designer.  The remit being an abstract background with sketches of the village. I opted for broad brush strokes of orange, browns, yellows, greens and white and I sketched the facade of the village church as well as a typical wooden fishing boat which are only found in La Caleta (also known as Catalan Bay).
